I make autobiographical figurative sculpture working mostly in the ceramics medium. I am drawn to the immediacy, tangibility and interactivity of collectible objects, they carry a presence that contribute to our sense of place in the world and our associated emotions. The objects we collect tell a personal story and have a powerful connection to memory and because they can be touched, and connect to memory.
Much of the content of my work explores the transition between youth and adulthood. Emerging identity and impact on mental health when attempting to navigate a sense of place in the world.
